This policy explains how URAV ADVANCED LEARNING SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in locally, our on-device AI application for Android and Meta Quest, and iOS. Features and availability may differ by platform; references to a feature apply where it is offered. This policy covers locally, not other applications or websites operated by us.

Conversations and AI processing

locally processes your prompts, conversation context, attached photos, speech recognition, and speech synthesis on your device. These inputs and generated responses are not sent by locally to us or to a cloud AI service for inference or model training. You do not need a separate locally account.

If you enable conversation history, the app saves conversation titles, messages, model-supplied thoughts, attached photos, model selections, and available response statistics on your device. Preferences, including custom instructions and tool permissions for each model, language, voice, and download settings, are stored locally even when history is disabled. Tasks, notes, and saved prompts are stored locally and separately from conversation history. You can create them in Workspace or ask the model to save tasks and notes when tools are enabled. Profiles store their names, instructions, and separate conversation memories locally. With profile memory and tools enabled, the local model can save or update short notes about useful lasting details from your conversations, such as preferences, decisions and ongoing projects. Relevant notes are retrieved by keyword and date in later chats in that profile. Messages are not automatically copied into memory. Model-written notes may be incomplete or inaccurate; you can review, delete or disable them in the profile settings. Previously saved memory remains until deleted. Your messages, instructions, photos, and saved items may contain personal information you choose to include.

Microphone and camera

Microphone access is optional and is requested when you use dictation or Live mode. Live mode automatically sends recognized speech after a pause and listens again after reply playback. Audio is processed on your device to produce text. Whisper is the default speech recognizer. On Android, an optional setting uses the device’s on-device speech recognition service for supported languages. On Meta Quest, this option supports English and requires offline virtual keyboard dictation to be enabled in headset settings. Availability depends on the device, service and installed language support. Both options use Android’s dedicated on-device recognizer, without an online recognition fallback; locally uses Whisper if the service is unavailable. The app does not save microphone recordings as audio files; audio buffers are held temporarily in memory. Recognized text becomes part of your draft and may be saved in conversation history if you send it and history is enabled.

Camera access is optional. You can capture a photo yourself or enable Let the model take photos for a model. Your choice persists across conversations and app restarts. With that option enabled, the model can request individual photos to help answer visual questions; device camera permission is still required. Photos are processed on this device and may be retained with the conversation. The app does not continuously record camera video. Please respect other people's privacy when taking or sharing photos.

You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device's settings. Text chat does not require microphone or camera access.

Internet connections and third parties

Read web pages is off by default for each model. If you enable it, the model can make GET requests to public HTTPS pages or JSON endpoints. Requested URLs may include information from your conversation. Visited websites receive the URL, your IP address, and ordinary connection information under their own policies. There is no integrated search provider. Retrieved text, source links, and tool exchanges may be saved in local conversation history. Web tools do not upload image files or microphone recordings. Your choice persists for that model across conversations and app restarts, including when history is disabled. Disable it in model settings to prevent further model-requested web access. Calculator and date/time tools operate locally.

On first launch, onboarding automatically starts downloading the recommended Gemma model, with Wi-Fi only enabled by default. You can cancel from the tour, the download banner, or the Model library. Closing the tour does not cancel the download. On Android and Meta Quest, downloads can continue in the background, subject to operating-system restrictions. Background downloads may not be available on other platforms, including iOS; you may need to keep the app open to finish downloading. A cancelled download is not automatically restarted on later launches.

Language models are downloaded from their listed sources, currently Hugging Face and its download infrastructure. Your device contacts those services directly. They can receive information ordinarily associated with a download request, including your IP address, the requested file, and connection information, under their own policies. Conversation content, microphone recordings, and attached photos are not included in model download requests. See Hugging Face's privacy policy.

Links you choose to open, including model pages, credits, and links in responses, open external services or your browser. Those services handle information under their own policies. No remote images embedded in Markdown responses are automatically fetched by locally.

Your device manufacturer, operating-system provider and app store may process account, device, purchase and platform diagnostic information under their own policies. Depending on your platform and how you obtain locally, these providers may include Meta for Meta Quest, Google and your device manufacturer for Android, or Apple for iOS. See the Meta Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, and Apple Privacy Policy, as applicable. This policy does not control independent platform, app store or website processing.

After the necessary models are available on your device, AI processing can work offline.

Diagnostics and support

locally writes technical diagnostics to device logs, such as errors, download status, inference timings, and memory readings. Diagnostic messages can include technical context and local file paths. The app does not automatically upload these logs to us, and it does not integrate advertising or app analytics collection.

If you contact us or voluntarily send logs, screenshots, or other material, we receive your contact information and what you send. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, and address privacy or legal requests. Avoid including private conversation content or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request. Our email and communications providers may process support correspondence to deliver those services. We retain correspondence only as needed for these purposes and applicable legal obligations; contact us to request deletion.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

You control local conversation retention. Delete individual conversations or use Delete conversation history in Preferences. Turning off Remember conversations on this device removes saved history; the current conversation may remain available while it is open. Photos are embedded in their saved conversation; deleting that conversation removes its saved photos. Tasks, notes, and saved prompts remain when conversation history is disabled or deleted. Delete those items separately from Productivity. Profile memory also remains when chat history is off or deleted: review, delete or clear memory in the profile settings. Turning profile memory off stops saving and retrieving memory but does not erase existing entries. Deleting a profile removes its instructions, memory and conversations; shared tasks, notes and prompts remain. Due dates do not send notifications. Model files can be removed from the model library.

The app keeps preferences and any downloaded models until you change or remove them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Temporary extraction and inference caches are managed in the app's cache storage. Device logs are subject to operating-system retention. On Android and Meta Quest, the app disables Android application backup for its data. Backup and device-transfer behavior on other platforms depends on the operating system, device settings and the version of locally offered there. We do not provide an app-operated cloud backup or synchronization service for your conversations.

We cannot retrieve or remotely erase conversations that exist only on your device. Use the app or device storage controls to remove them. Local deletion is not a guarantee of forensic erasure from physical storage.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold, and to complain to a competent data protection authority. Contact legal@uralstech.in to exercise these rights or ask a privacy question. These requests concern information actually held by us, such as support correspondence.

Data export

Export all data creates an unencrypted ZIP of saved app data and current conversations and drafts, including photos, profiles and memory, settings, tasks, notes and prompts. Downloaded model weights are excluded. The device’s share sheet lets you choose a destination; the app or service you select receives the export under its own policies. Temporary export copies stay in the app’s sharing cache until a later app launch or operating-system cache cleanup. Opening the share sheet does not guarantee that a destination saved the file. Exporting does not delete the original data.

Security and disclosure

Local app storage relies on the device's operating-system protections. locally does not separately encrypt conversation files. Protect access to your device and be careful when exporting or sharing your data, logs, or screenshots. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

We do not sell your conversation content or use it for targeted advertising. Information you voluntarily provide to us may be disclosed when necessary to provide support through our service providers, comply with applicable law, or protect legal rights. These circumstances do not give us access to conversations stored only on your device.

Children

Use of locally is subject to the age and account requirements of your device platform and app store, and applicable law. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through support channels. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it, including deletion where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required by law. Material changes to data handling will be described in the updated policy.
